As a HealthRHYTHMS facilitator, I?m always in search of unique reasonably priced percussion. This item was a perfect budget match. It's weather resistant (perfect for outdoor use). It's lightweight (perfect for youngsters and those with compromised gripping ability) It's portable (Perfect to use with stretching exercises and marching games). Kids of all ages fight over this one.

I bought one full set of these lollipop drums and I'm going to buy another set this year because they're such a great item. I teach music in public school in grades 2 through 5 and all of my students love to play these! They are usually the first instruments to leave the bin when I let students choose. What's to like: The drums have a nice sound, seem to be almost indestructible and their bright, cheery colors are very pleasing to the eye. Our high school even borrowed them once for the munchkins to use in the Wizard of Oz! (As a lollipop, not a drum). They're very sturdy - I've had some students really beat them and they still look brand new. They're also waterproof, so if my special needs students actually lick them - no problem! The mallets look like suckers and my students love to pretend they're eating them before they play. I use these mallets for playing other drums in the classroom also. I've even used them as back-up mallets for the steel drums, especially when I have a student who is striking the drums too strongly. What's to dislike: Nothing Recommendation: Buy 'em. You won't be disappointed.
